Q: Do I need a gun licence to attend events?
A: No you do not, though it is highly encouraged for all members to apply for a license.
Q: How much do I have to pay to attend an event?
A: To attend an event, you must be a paid UCFA member. Our membership fee is currently $25 and event fees are currently $30 per person for every event. We provide some ammunition types for free at our events, but you can also purchase other kinds as well.
Q: Am I allowed to attend events if I am under 18?
A: The rules for being under 18 are different for each location we go:
-Buffalo Target Shooters Association (BTSA) You must have your parent or guardian sign your UCFA waiver and then you bring the waiver to the event. No waiver means no shooting.
-Calgary Shooting Centre You must physically bring in you parent or guardian at the beginning of the event to sign you in. No guardian means no shooting. Written letters or phone calls are not accepted. They don't have to stay for the whole thing, just to sign you in.
-AHEIA Shotgun Range As long as someone in the group is 18 and holds a firearms license, you are good. No special rules or anything else.
